Hey Pro Tools/tech savvy friends, could someone please explain to me why, when I have a blank PT session with one virtual instrument plug-in and nothing else open, I keep getting audio glitches and dropouts and why the CPU usage is maxing out? It's all fine until I hit a 3 or more note chord on the keyboard passing through the VI and the CPU goes off the charts. More importantly, can someone point me to a solution to this issue?

Thanks in advance for any help resolving this issue.
Mark
